Can I interest you in a little Fearreantum?

Irreantum has had, we admit, something of a slow resurrection. After our first and (if you’ll forgive an obvious adjective) excellent issue, there was a break in the action.

Only one explanation makes sense: Ghosts.

Whether the problem is exorcising or collecting ghosts is a bit unclear, but we’re putting together a quick October issue to be dubbed Fearreantum to solve the problem, whatever it may be. We have already obtained permission to republish works from the likes of Jack Harrell and Phyllis Barber (others to be announced later), but we’re also looking for original works.

So submit to our special issue, Fearreantum!

All Irreantum‘s normal interests apply—being the literary organ of the Association for Mormon Letters, we are now, as we have ever been, interested in literature that is by/for/about Latter-day Saints and other cultural Mormons.

We will not provide more precise guidelines for Fearreantum because we hope to be surprised by your interpretation of the theme.

Run over to our submissions page to get the full skinny.
